Martin William Jones, a fully accredited ICT (Information Communications Technology) Adviser. I have 30 years of expertise and experience within ICT. My career started as a Programmer / Operator, and progressed to both Systems and Business Analysis, Project and Programme Management, and Consultancy. I have worked for End User (Client) and ICT Service Organizations working with both large blue chip organizations and SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) alike.
Notably a large part of my career has been working for Whitbread (the Brewer, now Hotels and Leisure Business) and BACG a Retail Supply Chain Consultancy, (working with such names as Waitrose / Asda / B&Q and other American organizations) however there has been other interesting business challenges along the way. Most recently I Have enjoy working within the local SME community, able to understand your business plans, and apply a strategic approach to the ICT needs – engaging and working with local preferred suppliers to source, and ensure a sound, business benefit approach to your ICT business investments.
Personal Business Ethic
Most of us strive for a happy successful career as business professionals, however find at times this is not attainable due to either working conditions, politics, personal business relationships or simply a lack of clarity purpose and direction. It is my personal view that at the time some of these experiences (that we all may have encountered at some time) may be viewed as nonsense, or unrealistic and simply not bearable! However I believe these experiences can help to clarify your own work ethic and purpose.
I also believe that everyone deserves an opportunity, to be heard, and to be understood fully within the work place, and should have no fear or trepidation of being heard or making their views known, that is providing any comments are of a forward constructive nature. Teamwork is to be encouraged; ideas are to be nurtured, and those good ideas that are set into practice, and are to be rewarded.
I also believe it is very important and crucial practice, to work within a structured environment. What is meant by this is that procedures and systems are in place to both support business, and the working environment.
